It went away at about the one year mark, and she never had any other problems.

Still keeping you and your family in my prayers. I know that God is going to use you guys in a mighty way wherever it is that you are called to go.

XandraXandra@Heart-of-Servicehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06583676836374203349noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-241374467629178893.post-6961855274209034192008-12-21T23:19:00.000-06:002008-12-21T23:19:00.000-06:00Hey. I have a 3 month old as well as my 2 1/2 year old. Just wanted to send ((HUGS)). I can totally relate to the stress of just making it through the day and trying to keep your kids ALIVE! I certainly don't have it all together, but I also wanted to share something that has really helped me. You probably wouldn't agree with the "Babywise" newborn scheduled feedings since you are having trouble with weight gain. But one thing I learned through reading Dr Ezzo's books is about structuring your toddler's day. Cogan has certain times during the day where he is engaged in independent play and this really frees when I need to feed Ruby.

He has "Room Time" -- in his room with a gate up at his door. "Blanket Time" -- when he has a toy I choose for him to play with on a blanket in the living room and a egg timer set for a designated amt of time (usually a farm set or take-along thomas train set, etc). And also "Table Time"-- while I get dinner ready he sits at the table with some books and again the timer to let him know when he can get up. I started out with short periods of time (5 minutes) and gradually increased it. He LOVES the timer. Now he has Blanket Time and Table Time for 30 minutes. And Room Time for an hour every day. It has been such a lifesaver, as it frees me up to feed Ruby without yelling at Cogan to stop trying to jump on us!

Sorry this is so long... I just wanted to share that b/c it really has been a lifesaver for me! But I'm a bit OCD anyway, haha!Molly Flanaganhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01553927899147637367noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-241374467629178893.post-7063063928926296702008-12-19T12:59:00.000-06:002008-12-19T12:59:00.000-06:00My son Asher used to nurse that often too, I start...My son Asher used to nurse that often too, I started only nursing one side at a time & not switching to the other side until the next time I fed him, that seemed to help him get more of the hind milk. Also I had to make sure I drank lots of water to keep my supply up.

I totally understand not wanting to leave Luke alone while feeding, I'm going through the same thing now! :)Sherilyn -Dominee Huisvrouwhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14699722638129047711noreply@blogger.com
